Using Technology To Improve Search Engine Rankings
The history of technology covers many important dates in the development of mankind. Understanding the full breadth of history can be challenging, as it is often intertwined with science and technology history. This article identifies ten general areas of history that define the breadth of technological change, from the earliest recorded history of machines and technology, to modernity and the Industrial Age. Each of these areas of technology development has its specific characteristics and broad themes.
The history of technology can be divided into five main areas.

- The fifth area of history is that of the history of technology as a result of societal changes.
Technological change is most commonly associated with computer technology’s history, which has come from its humble beginnings as a system made up of simple terminals connected by cables. With the development of faster computers, however, this history of technology became much more complex.
Computers became an extremely popular form of communication, with its attendant popularity spreading beyond personal computers’ bounds. Today, a typical Internet user logs on to a server, through a browser or an automated program, to access websites and engage in a wide variety of tasks.
On the other hand, Crawling is used to identify new and different types of content that a human user may be interested in. Stemming, on the other hand, refers to the crawling of a particular website or blog. While the terms “crawling” and “spreading” are commonly used synonymously, they are not the same.
The algorithms that search engines use to rank web pages are called “web crawlers” or “spider algorithms.” For these terms to make sense, it is necessary to understand how websites work and what the algorithms do. This is why learning about search engine optimization (SEO) is necessary. An SEO analyst analyzes keywords, the site’s contents, its content and its traffic and applies scientific methods of sorting and evaluating data to produce a comprehensive ranking. The ranking, or position, a page is in when a search engine scans a website for relevant information and then ranks it according to certain criteria. Five main factors affect how high a page is ranked.
One of the most important factors, as far as search engines are concerned, is relevant keywords on a webpage. These keywords must be in correct grammatical order, with no spaces or punctuation errors. They also need to be at least one percent inside of a keyword’s brackets. If a webpage contains any of the terms “stuff”, “cheap” or “advertiser” next to a keyword, the page will be skipped by search engines. This is referred to as “keyword stuffing” and can be a serious issue with some search engines.
A second factor affecting the web page’s rankings is the quality of the incoming links from other websites. Links from authoritative websites that accept only natural submissions are more valuable than links from any other website. These are referred to as “outbound links” and play an integral role in determining which websites appear in organic search results. The more quality outbound links a webpage has, the more likely it will rank higher in the organic search results.
Search engines also look at the number of inbound links to a web page and the content within the site. The more valuable the information contained on a website, the more valuable the inbound links to that particular website.
Information that is not relevant or current will decrease the site’s value and the search engine will not include it in their algorithms. Therefore, the more valuable the information on a webpage is, the more valuable the link building campaign that comprises that webpage will be. Therefore, if a company wants to increase their chances of appearing in organic search results and intending to build quality links, it makes sense to take advantage of this valuable link building strategy.
